Three Suspects Arrest In Connection With Derwent Lane Fires

At 1:15 a.m. today, Friday, January 20th, 2023, police attended a reported vehicle fire involving a motorcar, in the area of Derwent Lane, Devonshire.

Upon arrival officers spoke with a resident who informed them the fire had already been extinguished.

The resident also reported having put out a small fire on front porch of their home.

Previously, around 12:44am on Thursday, January 19th, 2023, police received a report of a two vehicle fire, two motorcars, also on Derwent Lane Devonshire.

Two persons were reportedly seen running away from the area shortly after the fire started. The fire was extinguished by residents prior to the arrival Police and the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service

Three suspects have been arrested and taken into custody in connection with these two incidents.

These matters are now under investigation.

Initial indications are they may be related.
