A man who was caught three times for drink-driving was disqualified from driving all vehicles for five years, as he appeared in Magistrates Court on Friday morning, he was also fined $9,000 — $1,500 first offence, $2,500 second and $5,000 for the third.
Debre Trott, 31, plead guilty to the offences, all which occurred between July 2022 and March 2023, when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court back in September.
Trott, from Pembroke, collided with a car on Cedar Avenue and was taken to King Edward Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained from the incident.
Trott was first ordered to participate in DUI Court, but was considered unsuitable for the programme and reappeared in court for sentencing on Friday.
Trott apologised for his actions to the court and told senior magistrate the Wor. Maxanne Anderson he would be “seeking help for his drinking problems”.
