Government’s Annual Summer Day Camps

The Department of Sport and Recreation invites parents and guardians to register their children for the Government’s annual summer day camps programs.

Due to the high demand for affordable camps, the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport, Senator Owen K. Darrell, announced that additional funding was allocated in the 2024/2025 budget to enable several improvements.   Through partnerships with private educational and recreational groups, the Government has been able to:

  1. Increase Capacity: More children can now attend these camps.
  2. Extend Camp Duration: Camps will be available between July 1 – September 6, 2024. **Please see specific camps for availability.
  3. Expand Variety: A broad selection of camp types is now available, ensuring diverse and dynamic experiences.

Minister Darrell expressed the goal of alleviating the stress for parents seeking safe, affordable summer services for their children. Thanks to collaboration between the Department and private organizations, additional spaces will be available for students this summer.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to register online by visiting www.sportsandrec.bm and to learn more about each camp.

Registration on the website opens at 9:30 am on Monday, May 20, 2024.

This year’s camps will remain at last year’s rate of $60 per week per child. Online payments can only be made once registration is approved.
