BOA seeking social media and communications expert for Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Bermuda Olympic Association is preparing for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, where our athletes will compete on the world’s stage. The BOA we will require a detailed engagement strategy to fully utilize this opportunity. Our goal is to go beyond keeping our stakeholders informed about the progress of our athletes, we are seeking a social media and communications expert to provide support and content for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
This main objective will be to create a comprehensive strategy to engage, inspire, and inform our community about Team Bermuda at the 2024 Summer Olympics. All content will be created for the BOA and ownership of the images and posts will belong to the BOA.

Audience:

The Bermuda Olympic Association, its members, supporters, national team athletes, coaches, families, corporate sponsors, partners and community.

The Candidate Will Both Develop and Launch a Plan according to the IOC and referenced IOC Social and Digital Media Guidelines document for:
• Content creation:
o Social media stories, videos, meet the team, and Paris-themed content o Media Assets: digital kit with visuals and videos
o The Road to Paris: selection, qualification, schedules, how to view
• Social media strategy and management
• Olympic Journal: Event schedules, athlete profiles, ads, etc.
• Any social engagement during the Games
• Campaigns to highlight athlete achievements
• Feature athlete profiles, personal stories, and training insights • A comprehensive communications timeline
Skills and Expertise Required
• Planning: The candidate should have a proven track record in developing comprehensive
communications strategies for major sporting events or organizations.
• Content Creation: Strong vision for content creation, including the ability to tell compelling
stories through various media such as articles, videos, and social media posts.
• Social Media Management: Experience in managing social media platforms and developing
social media strategies.

• Public Relations: Knowledge of public relations strategies and media relations.
• Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with the Chef de
Mission, coaches and athletes.

Compensation:
This is a short-term volunteer role with the BOA and the successful candidate will receive a media accreditation and have access to the Paris 2024 Olympic venues approved by the IOC. The BOA may be able to assist the candidate with travel only, but the candidate will be responsible for booking their own hotel accommodation and ground transportation
