This morning in Magistrate’s Court, 18-year-old Sandys residents Ricardo Tucker Jr. and Shae-Unni Smith were charged with allegedly murdering 57-year-old Duane Gibbons on Thursday September 16.
Since the matter must be heard in the Supreme Court, neither defendant was required to enter a plea today.
Given the serious nature of the alleged offence and the fact that an investigation into the incident is still ongoing, the Worshipful Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe decided not to grant the defendants bail and sent the case up to the Supreme Court, where it will be mentioned again during the November arraignment sessions on Monday, November 1.
