Two men charged with introducing on the privacy of minors

Two men appeared in Magistrates Court yesterday morning charged in two separate matters relating intruding on the privacy of minors.

The first accused, a 48 year old Bermudian, faces a charge that between the 18th day of February and the 2nd day of March 2024, in the islands of Bermuda, intruded upon the privacy of a child, in such a way as to be likely to alarm, insult or offend that child and in fact did so.

The man who cannot be identified for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty.

He was granted bail in the amount of $3000 and was ordered not to have any contact with the complainant. The accused is due back in court in April for mention.

The second man, a 32 year old foreign national married to a Bermudian woman, is charged with intruding upon the privacy of a child, and accosting her in a way that was likely to and did in fact alarm, insult or offend her.

He too cannot be identified for legal reasons.

He also plead not guilty to the charge.

He was bailed in the amount of $5000 and ordered not to have any contact with the complainant.

He is also due back in court for mention in April.
