Two Alleged COVID Restriction Violators Appear in Magistrate’s Court

On Thursday May 27 in Magistrate’s Court, Gina Gibbons pleaded not guilty to allegedly hosting a party in Smith’s parish consisting of more than the number of people allowed,

The Worshipful Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe adjourned the case to Monday, July 5 for directions and disclosure, and released Ms. Gibbons on $2000 bail until that date.

Ronald Simmons pleaded guilty to breaching curfew on Tuesday, March 30. Magistrate Wolffe adjourned his case to July 5 as well, so that Court Services could assess his eligibility to complete community service hours. Mr. Simmons was released on $2000 bail until that date.
