Three senior police officers promoted to Superintendent rank

The Bermuda Police Service on Friday welcomed three officers to the rank of Superintendent of Police.

Dennis Astwood, Sherwin Joseph and Jerome Laws were today promoted from Chief Inspector to the rank of Superintendent, by Mr. Darrin Simons, Police Commissioner.

Mr. Astwood, Mr. Joseph and Mr. Laws, between them have contributed more than one hundred years of committed service to Bermuda.

In announcing the promotions, Commissioner Simons, noted: “Their dedication and leadership have been instrumental in our success, and this promotion is a testament to their hard work and commitment to excellence.”

“I wholeheartedly congratulate our three of our new superintendents and confidently look forward to the continued growth their leadership will bring.”

Commissioner Simons ended by saying: “Let’s all rally behind them, offering our unwavering support as we embrace this exciting new chapter in our journey to make Bermuda safer.”
