The BPS Identify the 8th Road Traffic Fatality Victim of 2022

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 22-year-old Troni Aisha Robinson-Burgess. This marks the eighth road traffic fatality of 2022. We want to extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Miss. Robinson-Burgess.

Around 11:43pm on Thursday 28th July, police and other emergency personnel attended the scene of a reported serious road traffic collision on South Road, Southampton, just west of Horseshoe Road, involving two motorcycles.

It appears that Miss Robinson-Burgess, along with her 21-year-old female pillion passenger, were travelling in a westerly direction and a 27-year-old man was travelling in the opposite direction, when their motorcycles were in involved in a collision. The 27-year-old man has been arrested for suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Sadly, Miss. Robinson-Burgess was pronounced dead at the scene by an attending physician. At last check, the 21-year-old woman remained in ICU, being treated for what has been described as serious injuries. The 27-year-old man has also been admitted into hospital for treatment of his injuries. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time.
