Test Results Return Negative, Arrest Warrants Believed Issues For Cannonier-Watson Family

TNN understands an arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for the immediate apprehension of Michael Watson, his wife Sophia Cannonier and the couple’s two children for the family’s publicly displayed breach of Covid-19 protocols which demand that all arriving unvaccinated travelers to Bermuda submit to quarantining at an approved Government facility.

This follows on the heels of an aborted attempt to apprehend the family earlier this morning at their Second Avenue home, where police and health officials were denied entry into the residence, while also being met by an angry assembled group of protestors led by Bermuda Freedom Alliance member Eugene Dean, with the family remaining inside until police declared a “recess” until further discussions were health among the relevant authorities.

The move to arrest the family comes despite the fact that all members believed returned negative arrival tests that matched their initial departure tests, tests performed in England prior to boarding a British Airways flight home, as well as numerous antibody tests performed in recent months and weeks that have demonstrated that all members of the family possess relevant antibodies deemed key in the protection against pathogens such as the Covid-19 virus.

TNN has been made to understand that sometime this evening police will make another attempt to arrest the Cannonier Watson family, while any persons attempting to interfere with their apprehension will also become liable for arrest.

It is known that all members of the family had previously contracted the virus and recovered. Further, Ms. Cannonier is a well known movement and holistic lifestyle practitioner along with her husband and, while against being held in quarantine at a Government facility, the family are willing to submit to isolating at home for the prescribed 14-day period.

This contrasts a statement by the mother yesterday, when Ms. Cannonier voiced objection to having to isolate for any period of time.

However, today her stance shifted to a willingness to do so in order to give comfort and protect her children from adverse consequence that might result.

TNN intends to be on the scene live to record unfurling event.
