Taxi Driver Needing Public Assistance After Hit & Run Incident on Pitt’s Bay Road Thursday

Around 12:15 yesterday afternoon, taxi operator Kiwan Trott was heading west along Pitt’s Bay Road, when a tourist pulled out onto his side of the road. In order to avoid a head-on
collision, he swerved his taxi onto the sidewalk, but the side of his cab still got damaged.

“ I stopped, stepped out of the taxi, looked towards where the tourist was going and she almost hit a car behind me,” Mr. Trott said. “ She ended up on the wrong side of the road, but just kept
driving  she basically did a hit and run. . .

There was so much traffic behind me that if I could have followed her with my taxi, I would not have caught up with her.”

After the incident, Mr. Trott went to Smatt’s Cycles and described the motorist who hit his cab.

He also contacted the Police and an investigation into the incident has begun. The police also told him that a lot of the area CCTV cameras does not work.

“ If it takes three days for my taxi to get fixed, that is three days’ worth of work that I am missing out on, plus the cost of getting the cab fixed,” he explained.

Here is a snap shot of the woman taken from my dishcam in my taxi. If anyone can identify thus woman can yoi please notify the police.
