The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] is proud to announce the winners of its
Legendsscholarship program, recognizing the island’s brightest footballstudent-athletes who embody the spirit of the legends of the beautiful game in Bermuda.
After the annual selection process, five outstanding individuals have been chosen as recipients of the prestigious BFA Legends Scholarships for their remarkable accomplishments and potential to make a significant impact in the local community and beyond.
The BFA Legends Scholarships were first awarded in 2007 as a stoic reminder to our current players of the men and women who came before them. The program is designed to support talented student-athletes who have displayed a strong commitment to their education and a determination to improve their football ability and knowledge.
On Thursday, July 5, 2023, the winners of the 2023 BFA Legends Scholarships were awarded. In addition, our 2023 BFA
Legends, announced April, were officially recognized for their football legacy. The winners of the 2023 BFA Legends Scholarships are:
• Garrett Dill Award: Gianni Burgess
• Donnie Hill Award: Kauai Evans
• Kirt Douglas Award: Jayla Peets-Butterfield
• Marischal Astwood Award: Shavion Nesbit
• Dwayne Richardson Award: Za’Khari Turner
Each scholarship winner will receive $10,000 over a two-year period. In addition to the financial support, the recipients will join an alumni group of current National Team players and University graduates such as Taznae Fubler, Zeiko Lewis, Keunna
Dill, and Calon Minors.
BFA extends its heartfelt congratulationsto the scholarship recipientsfor their outstanding accomplishments and wishes them
continued success in their academic and athletic pursuits. The organization also expresses its gratitude to all the applicants who participated in the selection process, emphasizing the remarkable talent and potential demonstrated throughout.
