ReGen Group Highlights Summer Students

ReGen Group Limited (‘RGL’ or the ‘Company’), yesterday highlighted several students who have been working for ReGen Companies (AIRCARE, iEPC & iFM) during their summer break.

Three students have been gaining valuable work experience at iEPC including Jaire Lawrence-Salaam, Civil/Structural Engineering; Julian Roser, Electrical Engineering; and Seth Hardtman, Civil/Structural Engineering.

Jaire is currently studying for a Civil Engineering degree at Dalhousie University in Canada. He said: “I chose iEPC because they have a very impressive engineering team and I felt like I could learn a lot from them. My favourite part of working at iEPC is working through the complex problems presented to me and finding solutions to them. This position is beneficial to me because it will help me become more knowledgeable in all aspects of the profession.”

Jaire said he looks forward to graduating with a bachelor’s degree in May 2024 and then pursuing a master’s degree and eventually obtaining a professional licence. He highlighted several projects he has worked on this summer including the Marsh Folly Road Collapse and various BELCO Projects.

Julian is currently studying for an Electrical Engineering degree at St. Mary’s University in Canada. He said: “I chose to work here to help me decide which field of engineering I wanted to join. I eventually decided to work with electrical engineering because I found electrical engineering to be intriguing. My favourite part of working at iEPC is understanding the complexities and pathways of engineering and the projects that I am working on. I also enjoy being pushed by my team to grow not just as a person but as a professional.”

Julian aims to obtain a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and ultimately a professional licence and master’s in management. He said: “This position will help me grow my understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of an engineer and in addition help me improve on critical skills for the position.”

As part of the Electrical Engineering team working with Jamar Dill and Jarreau Daniels, Julian has worked on various projects including the Fort Hamilton utility Upgrade Project, the Installation of electric vehicle chargers and Infrastructure at BELCO and other properties, the solar 60 KW PV design and installation for the BELCO Electric Vehicle Shelter, a BELCO Power Plant (interior/exterior) Lighting Evaluation and Recommendations project, a Generator feasibility study for ReGen and the BELCO ARP (Asset Retirement Project) with Zeeko Johnstone.

Seth is currently studying for a Civil Engineering Degree at Morgan State University in the US.

Seth said: “I wanted to work under iEPC to expand my knowledge of the field of civil engineering and see what the day-to-day life of an engineer was like. My favourite part about working at iEPC is the comradery of the different disciplines and seeing how they work and connect to each other.”

Seth aspires to graduate with a Civil Engineering bachelor’s degree and obtain his professional licence. He said: “This position at iEPC helps me because amongst the team I can develop myself as a future engineer by taking the best parts of every engineer and applying their knowledge to myself.” While at iEPC Seth has worked on several projects including a BELCO East Power Station Manhole, Marsh Folly Road Collapse, Glebe Road Overpass Bridge Maintenance and a Structural Inspection of Masterworks.

Cierra Ray currently attends Warminster School in the UK and in September will continue her studies at Cardiff Met University and has spent her summer working at AIRCARE.

At Warminster, Cierra studied for A Levels in Psychology, Geography and PE. When she joins Cardiff Met, in September she will be studying Accounting, Finance and Economics.

Cierra said: “I wanted to have the opportunity to experience what working in an office environment is like, have exposure to different tasks and meet people and understand their roles within the Company. The environment working at AIRCARE has been very good and welcoming and I enjoy being able to help the team in any way I can, especially with being more organised.” Cierra aspires to become an accountant and added: “The opportunity of working in this position has helped me to be able to have a better understanding of what working in an office environment is like.”
Managing Director of ReGen, Azeem Khan, said: “The summer students we have had working at iEPC and AIRCARE have made a valuable contribution to our teams and have gained valuable work experience as they continue their studies.
