This afternoon Her Excellency the Governor met with members of the public to receive correspondence setting out a number of concerns.
Her Excellency said “Let me start by saying that I fully support the rights of citizens to peacefully and constructively voice their concerns.
I shall read the documents that have been delivered to me today and will respond substantively if they are within the Constitutional remit of the Governor.
Bermuda has not been immune to the effects of the ongoing global pandemic and the Government of Bermuda, like Governments around the world, has had to take some very difficult decisions about how best to respond.
I believe that the ability of the residents of this island to continue to work together will enable Bermuda to navigate beyond the pandemic.”
