POLICE IDENTIFY WILFRED OUTERBRIDGE AS LATEST MURDER VICTIM

Thirty-five-year-old Father of three, Wilfred Outerbridge Jr., has been identified as the second person to die by the gun in Bermuda this year.

Mr. Outerbridge was shot multiple times at his Railway Trail, Warwick, residence shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Police officers who responded to calls about the incident rendered first aid to Mr. Outerbridge until the arrival of EMTs who transported him to King Edward Hospital via ambulance.

Sadly, he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Derricka Burns, Detective Chief Inspector (Ag) of the Bermuda Police Service Serious Crime Unit, today told a press conference a number of area residents have already spoken with the investigative team, headed up by Detective Sergeant Odessa Philip.

Ms. Burns appealed for anyone who lives in the area and has a CCTV camera system installed, to please check their devices for footage or images of any suspicious activity which may have been captured either before or after what she deemed “yet another senseless murder in Bermuda” and said that any information could prove “crucial” in bringing the offenders to justice.

She added, The scene has been forensically processed, with evidence recovered, and an autopsy on the victim is expected “later in the week by a forensic pathologist”

Anyone with information on this matter which left Mr Outerbridge’s children, aged 5, 11 and 16, without their father is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Odessa Philip on 717-2193 or, via email ophilip@bps.bm .
