Mrs. Edonna Bean has been appointed Executive Director of the soon to be opened Transformational Living Centre (TLC) for Families.
Mrs. Bean is a qualified professional with a BS in Community Health. Mrs. Bean has more
than 20 years’ combined experience as a Case Manager with the Ministry of Social
Development and Seniors and leverages previous work experiences as a Community
Support Worker and Nurse’s Aide, with the Bermuda Hospital’s Board.
Her areas of expertise include planning, organizing and implementing facility and community-based training. As well as assessments of behavior management and socials skills, vocational skills
and communication skills for clients.
Mrs. Bean stated: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the Executive Director of the Transformational Living Centre (TLC) for Families. The TLC has the opportunity to positively impact many lives within our community and I look forward to working with the Board to fully execute the mandate of the mission, whilst additionally serving and advocating for an often underrepresented sector within our Community, here in Bermuda.”
Elaine Butterfield, TLC Project Leader, stated: “We are very pleased to appoint Mrs. Bean to the position of Executive Director. She has a proven and progressive track record all of which are aligned with TLC’s mission and core values around the empowerment and support of women with families experiencing housing insecurity in Bermuda.
We are confident that her experience, strategic focus and tremendous passion for the role, will prove invaluable towards achieving measurable outcomes for the program.”
The TLC is designed to heal, empower and transform the lives of its Guests (Women and their Families), with a range of developmental, educational and therapeutic programs delivered through the Transformational Support Services Program. The intention is that once our model is established, that it can be replicated throughout Bermuda.
