N.S.Minister Michael Weeks Condemns Violence Outside Supreme Courts

Today the Minister of National Security, the Hon. Michael Weeks condemned the acts of violence which took place outside of the Supreme Court recently.

Minister Weeks said, “Several incidences of anti-social behaviour occurred last week outside of our court buildings. These acts of violence involved assaulting and harassing court officers who were carrying out their duties. To be clear, I strongly condemn any attack on Bermuda’s lawyers and court officers. These professionals play a vital role in upholding the rule of law and ensuring that justice is served. Such attacks jeopardize the safety and well-being of these individuals and others, and any act of volence undermines the foundations of a fair and just legal system.”
