Woman appears in Magistrates Court for $40G dishonesty charges

A 53-year-old woman appeared in Magistrates Court today charged with three counts of dishonesty offenses.

Cheiri Palmer of Warwick Parish pleaded not guilty to dishonestly obtaining $40,000 by deception, making a false instrument; namely, an Argus Pensions Beneficiary Payment Instructions form and dishonestly falsifying a document; namely, an Argus Pensions Beneficiary Payment Instructions form.

The offenses are alleged to have been committed between July 18th and July 22nd, 2022.

Represented by Attorney, Bruce Swan, the accused was granted bail in the amount of $10 thousand dollars, and is due back in court on June 24, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.
