The Bermuda HealthCare Sir Stanley Burgess 5K Race was won by veteran runners Lamont Marshall and Gayle Lindsay. Both winners were awarded $1250 each for being the first to cross the finish line in their respective divisions.
In addition to retaining her title, Gayle Lindsay set a new personal best time of 18.13, shaving 30 seconds off her 2023 win time.
BHCS Chairman Dr. Ewart Brown commented on Gayle Lindsay’s victory: “We congratulate Gayle on retaining the first-place adult female title in record time for the third consecutive year. We wish her continued success.” Dr. Brown added, “Lamont Marshall continues to excel, and his victory today strengthens his reputation as one of Bermuda’s greatest runners. Our best wishes to him for continued success.”
Dr. Brown continued, “Bermuda HealthCare Services is committed to supporting sports throughout the community, and we are delighted to note that the number of race participants has increased throughout our three-year sponsorship.”
