Man charged with intent to supply cannabis resin

A 50-year-old Smith’s Parish man was  charged with two drugs offences in Magistrates Court.

Wilton Woolridge of #3 Club Road, pleaded not guilty to importation of a controlled drug, namely a quantity of cannabis resin, as well as possessing the same drug with intent to supply.

The offences, which contravene the Misuse of Drugs Act 1972 were alleged to have occurred on January 18th of this year.

Woolridge, who was represented by lawyer Charles Richardson, elected to be tried in Magistrates Court as acting Magistrate Kenlyn Swan released Woolridge on bail to the sum of $10,000 and to reappear on October 18th.
