A traffic stop in St. George’s on Saturday, January 27, 2024, has led to the recovery of a firearm.
Police were conducting road traffic checks on Mullet Bay Road St. George’s on the above date, when shortly before 4:30 p.m., they stopped a motorcar driven by a 22-year-old male.
Officers conducted a search of his person and a quantity of controlled drugs was found in his possession. He was arrested and escorted to HPS where he was processed and detained.
A warrant was subsequently executed at the subject’s residence. During a search at that location, a firearmwas recovered and seized.
Officers also recovered seized a large quantity controlled drugs along with an amount of cash.
An investigation into this matter is underway and no further information will be provided at this time.
