BREAKING NEWS

Word coming to TNN from a reliable source indicating that Wayne Caines, Chairman of the Board of the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA), is considering stepping down from his position.

Unconfirmed reports from a BTA insider suggest that Caines informed the Minister of Tourism and BTA staff of his decision over a week ago.

Sources within the hospitality sector have also indicated that key stakeholders were made aware of the possible resignation.

However, as of this report, no official resignation letter has been publicly released or confirmed by the BTA or the government.
