Lawyer who stole from disabled retiree imprisoned

Nancy Vieira, a rogue lawyer who took advantage of a disabled retiree, shamelessly fleecing the woman of close to $100,000, was sent to prison for five years yesterday.

Puisne Judge Juan an Wolffe sentenced the disgraced attorney to the term after she had been found guilty of a string of dishonesty offenses against Kirsten Badenduck over the course of several years, starting in 2015.

Vieira had been placed in a position of trust, but while pretending to represent the retired insurance executives best financial interests and welfare, she removed amounts of $28,615 and $50,000 via ATM and $7,601 via debit card purchases.
