The Woman’s Resource Centre New Executive Director Announed

Juanae Crockwell will become the new Executive Director of the Women’s Resource Centre from March 6th, 2023.
Ms. Crockwell brings a wealth of diverse experience to this new challenge and will lead the organization in execution of their mission to ‘Enhance the lives of Women in Bermuda’. This mission directly affects more than 50% of the population as well as individuals and groups who have interest in the wellbeing of women and girls.

Among Ms. Crockwell’s accomplishments is a Master’s Degree in Community Development from De Montfort University, with an emphasis on Mental Health. She is a qualified Holistic
Therapist in Holistic Human Development, and she has worked privately with women seeking
counselling and wellness coaching as they confront trauma, heal and redesign their lives.

Having spent the last nine years working in the third sector, both at the Synod of the Anglican Church and the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, Juanae is acutely aware of the challenges
that face many Bermudians on a daily basis.

Additionally, Juanae is the Religion Correspondent for The Royal Gazette, and has sat on several community-based committees and is a proud member of Social Justice Bermuda.

“I am excited to join The Women’s Resource Centre in the role of Executive Director. As a former client of this establishment, I am also deeply humbled by the opportunity to serve the women of Bermuda in this capacity.”

“The Women’s Resource Centre has been a pillar of support for over three decades, and I am looking forward to building on this foundation; continuing our support services; expanding
our network; and raising awareness on issues that impact the lives of women in Bermuda.”

“This is my ‘dream job’ and I know everything in my life has led me to it.”
According to Board Chairperson, Julia Hawkins, “The Women’s Resource Centre is tremendously pleased with the appointment of such a dynamic, and inspirational young woman. Her appointment coincides with the launch of our new Strategic Plan and Juanae’s
wealth of experience in non-profit as well as fund development will enhance the organization’s goals, especially during these tough economic times. “
