FAKE NEWS Circulating: Bermudian tourist suffers gruesome injury while cruising Sint Maarten

A video circulating on social media referring to a Bermudian man had part of one leg cut off by a Sint Maarten boat taxi’s propeller, according to news reports emerging from the Carbbean in not true or simply put it’s FAKE NEWS.

The man was said to have been travelling on a cruise ship berthed in the Dutch colony, when he, apparently, had gone ashore and was in the vicinity of Bobby’s Marina as around 4 pm on Tuesday.

According to the police, preliminary investigations indicate that the man had jumped into the sea and swam towards a water taxi anchored on one of the piers. He then tried to climb onto the back of the water taxi and got his foot caught in the propeller, resulting in the loss of part of his right leg.

The man was provided immediate medical attention and he was immediately transported to a medical center, where he is currently in critical but stable condition. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

The social media page of the man in question who’s name is attached to the story cause the man to post ” I am well and still has both of my feet”.

The video circulating is considered extremely graphic TNN has chosen not to use it.
