Cup Match Champion SCC All Rounder Jermel Proctor In The Classic

TNN News Trevor Lindsay spoke with Somerset Cricket Club Cup Match Colt Jermel Proctor who explained  I will represent my club and my family as this is my first time in the classic.

**TNN**Jermel, it’s taken you 5 years to make it here. Congratulations on this festival coming from me. How are you feeling?

**Jermel Proctor:** I’m just excited, you know, it’s a wonderful event to be a part of. I’ve dreamed about it for so long, and now I need to fulfill my dream of playing in the classics. Being up Somerset too, it doesn’t get any bigger than that.

**TNN:** You’ve been very persistent, What would you say to some of your young and up-and-coming cricketers from St. George’s and Somerset?

**Jermel Proctor:** Just put the work in, you know, and reap the rewards. That’s what I’ve done this season—put a lot of work in, especially with my batting, trying to get that all-rounder status. And I’m starting to reap the rewards now.

**TNN:** Now you’re in. How are you going to feel going out for the first time?

**Jermel Proctor:** I’m going to be a bit nervous, but I’m just going to enjoy myself, put no pressure on. Just like today, I had no pressure on myself. I just said I’m going to enjoy the day and take whatever result I get.

**TNN:** Your parents are your biggest fans. I’m sure your mom’s going to be elated.

**Jermel Proctor:** Yeah, they’re going to be very excited. Definitely, it will be meaningful.

**TNN:** All the best. We look forward to seeing you on the first day.

**Jermel Proctor:** Yes, thank you very much.

**TNN:** Congratulations again.

**Jermel Proctor:** Thank you.
