A Canadian National has been charged in Magistrates Court with one count of committing an indecent act namely, masturbating in a public place, contrary to Section 197(a) of the Criminal Code.
The incident is said to have occurred on Sunday 26th November while the accused was a guest at the Willowbank hotel in Southampton.
He was also charged that on the same date, he unlawfully assaulted another guest at the hotel.
The suspect identified as Brent Adair Habetler of Radison, Saskatchewan, Canada, pleaded not guilty to both offences.
He was granted bail in the amount of $5000 and ordered to return to court on December 4th, at 9:30am.
