BTA Marketing VP Jamari Douglas responds to Bullying Allegations

“In response to a recent TNN post, the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) wishes to address the matter with transparency and clarity.

While we refrain from public commentary on employee relation matters, it is imperative to address any attempts to disparage the integrity of the Authority, its leadership, and its hardworking employees.

The BTA upholds a culture of transparency, accountability, and zero tolerance for bullying. We have implemented rigorous anti-bullying policies, extensive training, and robust reporting procedures to ensure a safe and supportive workplace for all team members.

The Board and the Leadership team of the BTA remains committed to nurturing high-performing teams, breaking down silos and addressing “toxic” behaviors that derail employee morale, while maintaining our dedication to the Bermuda community and its visitors.

While we respect an employee’s decision to pursue opportunities outside of the BTA, our leadership will continue to focus on the team members who show up every day to support the organization’s goals and work for Bermuda.”

The BTA stayed clear of the resignations allegations, TNN News stands by its story from reliable sources within the organization, we encourage you to stay tuned for further developments in this story.
