Bermuda HealthCare Services Distributes 150 Turkeys to Community

Bermuda HealthCare Services (BHCS) demonstrated its ongoing commitment to the community by distributing 150 turkeys to patients and members of the public on Saturday, December 21. The initiative, held at the BHCS offices in Paget, reflects the organization’s gratitude for the trust and support of its patients throughout the year.

This generous giveaway originated 12 years ago when BHCS and the Brown-Darrell Clinic chose to forgo their annual Christmas party in favour of helping the community. Since then, they have distributed over 1,000 turkeys across the island. Founder and Executive Chair Dr. Ewart Brown expressed his sentiments, stating, “Giving back to our community during the holiday season brings us immense joy. Our goal is to help alleviate some of the stress families face during these challenging economic times and make their Christmas a little brighter.”

He added, “Through initiatives like our Annual Turkey Giveaway, our sponsorship of elite Bermudian athletes, our support for PHC, and our scholarships for medical students, we aim to uplift our community and inspire broader corporate support for the people of Bermuda.”
