Police Office with Coronavirus Delta Variant

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that one of our officers has tested positive for the novel Corona Virus, COVID-19.

This is not the first such instance of this happening and our COVID safety protocols developed over the last 15 months, mean we are fully equipped and prepared for dealing with this situation.

As is now standard procedure, the necessary protocols were immediately enacted once the results of the officer’s tests were made known to the BPS.

The officer remains under quarantine and is being monitored by the Health Authorities.

We remain confident that the quick response by the Health Department and the immediate implementation of our COVID-19 protocols, would have minimised any further risk to the safety and wellbeing of any other officers or staff.
