TNN News receiving word this pass Sunday evening with an update regarding a serious road traffic accident that occurred on October 29th. In that incident, a 17-year-old male was airlifted overseas for urgent medical treatment due to the severity of his injuries.
TNN has since been confirmed that the young man tragically succumbed to those injuries.
TNN sought a statement from the Bermuda Police Service Media Department, a Spokesperson replied with the statement below
Around 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, police officers were on mobile patrol in the area of the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium, Devonshire.
As they approached the roundabout at the junction with Frog Lane, Montpelier Road and Parsons Road, they found two persons lying in the road near a motorcycle on the westbound lane of Parsons Road.
The officers immediately contacted emergency services, as both individuals required medical attention.
The injured individuals, two 17-year-old males, were attended to at the scene by EMTs and subsequently transported by ambulance, to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, for further treatment of their injuries.
One of the males was later transferred to an overseas facility for continued medical care and sadly, he recently succumbed to his injuries.
An investigation into this, the tenth road fatality of the year, has now commenced.
Police are continuing the original appeal for witnesses made the same day this collision occurred and now urge anyone with information on this matter to please contact Inspector Anthony Smith, on 247-1431 or, via email at, asmith@bps.bm, as soon as possible.
