The Department of Environment and Natural Resources is reminding residents about the free public information session on red imported fire ants taking place this Thursday, 11 December, from 6.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. at Bermuda College in North Hall.
The session will be led by visiting fire ant specialist Noel Tawatao of Fera Sciences Ltd. He will outline how to identify red imported fire ants, the risks they pose, and the methods used in other island communities to manage incursions.
Attendees will be able to ask questions and learn how to recognise and report potential sightings in Bermuda.
