Janae Nesbitt describe the race, as one of the fastest I’ve seen in years. The fleet, ranging from A-Class to S-Class, completed the course through North Shore, Hamilton Harbor, and Pompano in record time. Despite some bumps on South Shore, the weather was perfect. Fortunately, there were no incidents, though two boats broke down and had to be towed in. The remaining 13 boats finished without issues, making the race a success.”

Nesbitt also commented on the atmosphere: “The energy around Ferry Reach and across Bermuda was amazing, with hundreds of people watching the race from various locations. We’re still gathering footage and encourage anyone with videos to share them with the public on our social media.”

Looking ahead, Nesbitt mentioned the next race will be in Dockyard on September 8th, followed by a few more races until the season concludes in October. The event was sponsored by Rubis as the title sponsor, with support from Cell-One and AF Smith.

Nesbitt added that the Bermuda Powerboat Association has a long history, dating back to the 1940s, and welcomes any businesses or individuals interested in sponsorship or contributions to reach out via their social media pages or email at BBBA14@hotmail.com.
