The jury charged with deciding guilt or innocence in the murder case of the Crown versus Kamal Worrell were early this evening still locked in closed door deliberations.
The jury briefly returned to the Supreme Court at 4.39 pm with questions surrounding “intent” and “premeditation” in the killing of Chavelle Dillon-Burgess, the mother of Worrell’s son.
The eight woman four man panel also inquired as to their being able to consider manslaughter as a possible offence.
Puisne Judge Juan Wolffe invited the jury to consider manslaughter as an alternative offence and sent the jury back to deliberate further.
Worrell is charged with one count of murder, one count of wounding Ms Dillon-Burgess and seven counts if common assault , all of which he denies.
