Man charged with Aggravated Burglary in Magistrates Court

A 33-year-old Pembroke man was today charged in Magistrates’ Court with trespassing on a residence and attempting to harm the female resident with a blade article.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also charged with a second offence of intruding on the privacy of a girl in March of this year.

The man was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offence as his case must be heard in the Supreme Court. It is alleged the first incident occurred on October 26th, of last year.

He pleaded not guilty to intruding on the girl’s privacy in the second offence.

Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson remanded the into custody, as he is expected to appear in the Supreme Court on June 1st, monthly arraignment session in connection with the first charge and will return to Magistrates’ Court on May 24 in connection with the second charge.
