Youth & Sport seek community support for Mini-Cup Match

The Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation is inviting the community to come and cheer on our young people as they take part in the annual Mini-Cup Match on Thursday July 27.

Happening at the Devonshire Recreation Club, and featuring Government’s Summer Day Camp (SDC) students, Mini-Cup Match is aimed at building excitement for the upcoming holiday.

The activity also provides an opportunity for our young people to engage in teamwork, sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Earlier this week as part of his visits to the Government’s Summer Day Camps, Minister Owen Darrell stopped by the Northlands Primary SDC and caught some of the practice and preparation for this year’s Mini-Cup Match. The Minister also had the opportunity to engage with camp counsellors and young students and who were focused on providing an exciting match this Thursday.

Parents, supporters and die-hard cricket fans are encouraged to attend Thursday’s Mini-Cup Match, which gets underway at 10.00 a.m.
