Young Gombey Warriors set to take part in CFU Football Challenge

Bermuda’s Under-14 Boys National Team today [Wednesday] travel to Trinidad and Tobago to participate in the 2024 Under-14 Boys Caribbean Football Union Challenge Series Qualifiers. Bermuda are to compete in Tier II Group C along with Saint Maarten, St. Lucia, Bonaire, and Grenada in a round-robin format.

The team is coached by Vashun Blanchette and has great hope of success in the initial phase to ensure qualification for the knock-out rounds.
The CFU 2024 Boys’ U-14 Challenge Series is organized into the Group Stage and the knock-out Stage. During the Group Stage, teams are divided into groups and play in a round-robin format, earning points for wins and draws. Rankings within each group are determined by points, goal difference, and goals scored. The knock-out Stage follows, with play-offs, quarter-finals, semifinals, and a final match. Tied matches in the knock-out Stage go straight to penalty kicks.

The competition is a key development platform, showcasing young talent from across the Caribbean.
