Last night, a concerned father received a call that his eleven-year-old daughter was in the hospital because she had been bitten by a pit-bull dog.
“ She was walking to her friend’s house in the Middle Town Pembroke area when the dog ran out and started attacking her,” he said. “ I spoke to a lady who said that she saw the dog biting my daughter, she said that the dog was dragging her and that she heard my daughter screaming.”
According to the father, the lady who he spoke to also noticed a man sitting on a porch just watching the situation unfold as his daughter was screaming for help.
“ The lady then brought her car around and struck the dog with her car and it came back attacking again,” he said. “ She took my daughter down the stretch to her house and then she was taken to the hospital.”
He said that his daughter is crying more for the dog that attacked her than she is for herself, because she knows that the dog will have to be put down now.
“ We have to take this issue to Court now, because if the car had not come down the hill at that time, the dog could have possibly killed her,” he said.
