World Book Day Will Be Celebrated In Bermuda

Evangelist Nikita Robinson of The Worship Room on Magic102.7FM is inviting the public to support a nursery, preschool, public primary, middle, high school or boys and girls home to help celebrate World Book Day 2024, which is Today.

1,333 books has been delivered to 38 pre/nursery schools throughout the Island in celebration of World Book Day. In addition, 17 public primary school reading classes and PublicMiddle and High school libraries, as well as the Boys and Girls Home will be receiving books as well.  World Book Day is Nikita’s favorite day of the year, which happens to be 4 days after her 56th birthday this year. The love of literacy will bespread from one end of the island to the other by community sponsors and reading volunteers. Reading Officer Kim Manderson from the Department of Education has lent hersupport again by retrieving specific book requests from each of the reading specialists at our public primary schools and Bermuda Education Network has lent their support with reading volunteers.

From St. George’s to Somerset our community readers will show off their reading skills to our Nursery, and Primary Schools starting from 8:30am3:30pm.
