Appearing in Magistrates’ Court, a 43 year old Paget woman was charged with 10 offenses relating to theft and the falsification of documents.

Lucia Swan accused of (1) haven stolen cash in the sum of $15,519 belonging to Rubis Gas Station on or around the 2nd of September 2022. On the same day she’s accused to have (2) falsified a record or document required for an accounting purpose in that she signed a proof of delivery report to the effect that the cash identified in Count 1 had been deposited when it had not.
On or around the 17th of October 2022, she’s accused to have (3) stolen cash in the sum of $12,520.58 belonging to Price Rite. On the same date she allegedly (4) falsified a record or document required for an accounting purpose in that she signed a proof of delivery report to the effect that the cash identified in Count 3 had been deposited when it had not.
Swan is accused on (5) stealing cash in the sum of $12,531.41 belonging to Travel Edge on of around the 21st of October 2022. On the same day she’s accused to have (6) falsified a record or document required for an accounting purpose in that she signed a proof of delivery report to the effect that the cash identified in Count 5 had been deposited when it had not.
On or around the 3rd of November 2022, Ms Swan allegedly (7) stole cash in the sum of $3,280 belonging to the Government of Bermuda. On the same day she’s accused to have (8) falsified a record or document required for an accounting purpose in that she signed a proof of delivery report to the effect that the cash identified in Count 7 had been deposited when it had not.
Ms Swan’s final accusations are to have (9) stolen cash in the sum of $10,800 belonging to the Government of Bermuda on or around the 4th day of November 2022. On the same day she’s accused to have (10) falsified a record or document required for an accounting purpose in that she signed a proof of delivery report to the effect that the cash identified in Count 9 had been deposited when it had not.
Swan plead not guilty to all 10 counts totaling $54,650.99.
Magistrate Tyrone Chin set bail at $5,500 and ordered Ms Swan to have no contact with any of the complaint companies.
Ms Swan is due to appear back in court of the 14th of August at 2:30pm.
