Woman Allegedly Tried to Take Cocaine to Detained Boyfriend

A couple has reportedly found themselves at the centre of separate legal and immigration matters in the Cayman Islands, with the woman now facing serious drug-related allegations, according to a report published by a Cayman Islands news outlet.

The report identifies the man as Emmanuel Onen, a South African national, who was reportedly apprehended in the Cayman Islands for overstaying his immigration status.

According to the report, Onen was employed by Kirk IT, but his employment was subsequently terminated. He was later deported from the Cayman Islands.

Before his deportation, his girlfriend, Jayne Isaace , a New Zealand national, was reportedly arrested last week.

Isaace is alleged to be facing charges including possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, and consumption of cocaine.

The Cayman report further alleges that Isaace attempted to bring the drugs to Onen while he was being held at the Fairbanks Detention Center.

The allegations have attracted additional attention because of Isaac’s reported professional background.

According to the report, Isaace worked as a mental health and addiction professional at the Caribbean Haven Residential Center.

Isaace is also reported to have professional ties to Bermuda.

According to information  obtain by TNN News, Jayne Isaace previously worked in Bermuda approximately six years ago at the Child and Adolescent Services, at MAWI, where she served as a clinical manager. She also reportedly worked under the Ministry of Health and the Bermuda Hospital Board BHB.

The allegations against Isaace have not been proven in court. She is entitled to the presumption of innocence and should be presumed innocent unless and until she is convicted by a court of law.

TNN News is reporting the matter based on information published by a Cayman Islands news outlet. TNN News understands that the circumstances surrounding the two separate incidents remain subject to the legal processes in the Cayman Islands.
