Warwick woman charged with firearm ammunition and drugs in Supreme Court

Hamilton, Bermuda — A Warwick woman was formally charged yesterday during the monthly arraignment session held at Supreme’ Court.

Desiree O’Connor of Warwick appeared before the Supreme Court Justice Juan Wolffe and pled not guilty to three charges: possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, and possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply—specifically free base cocaine.

Despite pleading not guilty to all three counts, O’Connor was granted bail in the sum of $50,000 with one surety. As part of her bail conditions, she must report weekly to the Hamilton Police Station between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. She was also ordered to surrender all travel documents to prevent any unauthorized departure from the island.

O’Connor is scheduled to reappear on August 4th at 9:30 a.m for mention.
