Walk-A-Mile Rescheduled for Sunday  after One Week Delay

Last week, the Walk-a-Mile With your Child event, sponsored by the Hamilton Rotary Club, was postponed due to inclement weather. However, everything is full speed ahead for tomorrow,
according to President-Elect of Hamilton Rotary Club Rick Richardson.

“ As a result of the initial turnout last weekend for walk a mile with your child, we had former Premier Sir John Swan, Justice Juan Wolffe and a number of other fathers who wanted to go
out for a brief walk around the block, but we said we would do the walk tomorrow evening,

starting at 6 p.m., from Princess Street, down Parliament, down across Front Street to Albuoy’s Point, to make a statement for fathers and their families,” Mr. RIchardson explained. “ We will go
ahead with it tomorrow, even if it rains a bit.”

The walk will begin at 6 p.m. tomorrow, next to Bermuda Diabetes Association headquarters on Princess Street and will feature giveaways from Premier Health and the Bermuda Heart foundation, two key sponsors for this event. The legendary Gombeys will also be at the event.
