Vendors still being sought for Sail GP Street Festival

The Island’s hotels beds are being rapidly snapped up, while the vacation rental market is said to be “off the charts” by at least one major real estate firm, in advance of next weekend’s Bermuda Sail Grand Prix presented by Hamilton Princess, set to take place within the natural amphitheatre that is the Great Sound (May 14 & 15).

In line with the on-the-water spectacle the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) is backing the Sail GP Street Festival, set for Wednesday, May 11 and still being sought are vendors to participate in the event.

With high-speed F50 foiling catamarans in the harbour, the BTA’s plan is too take over Front Street (from Burnaby Street to Parliament Street), creating create a festive evening of alfresco dining, combined with local entertainment, vendors and a comet boat display for international guests and locals to enjoy.

There will be no charge imposed by the BTA to participate, however, all selected vendors will be responsible for obtaining all licenses and permits required to provide vendor services in the City of Hamilton.
