On Monday morning, police issued a missing person notice to the media and members of the public for former MP Darius Tucker.
According to Acting Assistant Police Commissioner Antoine Daniels, police received a 9-1-1 call this morning regarding the potential sighting of a white van on the western side of Market Wharf in St. David’s.
Two members of the Marine Police dove into the sea and recovered the van in question which had a body inside.
“ We are currently doing some forensic examinations of the vehicle and the family of the deceased have been notified and I offer my sincerest condolences to them,” Mr. Daniels said. “ I greatly appreciate everyone who came out to help search, but the body has not yet been formally identified, so all that I can confirm is that there was an individual found in the van.”
In this early part of the investigation, foul play is not suspected, but forensic examinations are still continuing.
