UK man charged with drugs importation remanded in Westgate Correctional Facility

A 32-year-old UK national has been sent to Westgate after he appeared before Magistrate the Worshipful Craig Attridge Court charged with bringing drugs into the country.

Karandeep Naranda is accused of smuggling cannabis resin and diamorphine (heroin) inside his luggage when he arrived on the island off the British Airways flight on the 25th of March.

With the charges being indictable the London UK resident was not asked to enter a plea.

He will next appear in the supreme court during the June arraignments.
