Two Vehicle Serious Road Traffic Collision in Paget Police Appeals for Witnesses

Around 1:40am on Thursday 18 August 2022, Police and other first responders were dispatched to a report of a serious two vehicle collision involving a car and a motorcycle, along Middle Road in Paget, near the junction with St. Paul’s Lane.

Details surrounding the circumstances of the collision are limited at this time, however initial information suggests that the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when the collision occurred.

The two women traveling  on the motorcycle were both transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. One of the women is believed to have suffered a severe leg injury. The extent of the second woman’s injuries is not known at this time. The male driver of the motorcar was not reported to be injured.

Due to the seriousness of the collision, the road has been closed off between Paget stop lights and Valley Road and traffic diversions have been put in place, to allow police process the scene. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.

Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is encouraged to contact police on 211 at the earliest opportunity.
