Two men charged with attempted murder In Leicester’s Westcotes UK

Two charged with attempted murder after man found stabbed in Leicester’s Westcotes.

 

The injured man, who is in his 20s, was found outside a house in the busy neighbourhood.

 

Two men have been charged with attempted murder and drug-related offences after a man in his 20s was found with stab wounds outside a house in a Leicester neighbourhood.

 

Police found the injured man when they were called to a report of a disturbance in Upperton Road, in Westcotes, shortly before 1am on Tuesday, July 26. He was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.

Roger Lightbourne, 31, of York Street, Wolverhampton, has been charged with attempted murder and with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs between July 24 and July 28, 2022.

 

Gary Smith, 29, of Quarry Walk, Birmingham, has been charged with attempted murder and two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs on August 9, 2022.

Both men have appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court, where they were remanded into custody.
