Two foreign nationals arrested for alleged drug smuggling

On Sunday, March 3, 2024, Police arrested two foreign nationals at L.F. Wade International Airport after Customs Officers discovered the visitors had in their possession, a large quantity of what is believed to be the controlled drug, cocaine.

 

A police spokesperson stated, “Drug smugglers go to great lengths to conceal drugs when entering our borders. We will continue to collaborate with our partners at our ports of entry to improve existing security and detection measures and protect our community.”

 

The items have been submitted to the government analyst for testing and an investigation into the seizure has now begun.
