“The transformation of the Botanical Gardens is near completion, and I want everyone to turn out to reconnect to one of Bermuda’s biggest cultural events,” said Acting Minister of Public Works, the Hon. Owen Darrell, JP, ahead of the start of the 80th AG Show taking place this coming Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Minister Darrell extends his heartfelt appreciation to the Government employees and volunteers from the Skills Development Programme working tirelessly to prepare the Botanical Gardens for the iconic event that the Department of Parks is running.
Minister Darrell added: “The AG Show is one of the most anticipated events in Bermuda. These employees’ hard work and dedication have been crucial in ensuring that the gardens are in top shape for the event.
“The AG Show is a celebration of Bermuda’s agricultural industry and offers local farmers, vendors, and craftsmen a unique opportunity to showcase their products and skills.
“This year’s event will be the first to be held in person in recent years due to the pandemic. It promises to be exciting, including many attractions and activities for locals and visitors of all ages.”
The AG Show is also an excellent opportunity to support the local businesses on hand during the show to offer refreshments, food, and beverages. The grounds will be open between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the three-day event.
